Admissions to B. Tech. Programs through CAET

Your Gateway to Undergraduate STEM Programs

IITs have a long-standing tradition of merit-based admissions through competitive entrance examinations.

IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi (IITD-AD) admits undergraduate students through two pathways, the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced), to identify high-potential students for advanced STEM education at its Abu Dhabi campus.

CAET 2027

CAET (Combined Admission Entrance test) is the flagship entrance examination for admission to B. Tech. programs at IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi, designed to assess analytical and problem-solving skills in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Sessions

CAET 2027 will be conducted in four sessions as follows.

  • Session 1: November 22, 2026
  • Session 2: January 31, 2027
  • Session 3: April 18, 2027
  • Session 4: July 18, 2027
Note: In the event of disruption due to unforeseen circumstances, we may need to revise the dates and reschedule the CAET exams with notification updates for the same being shared on the CAET website as and when applicable.

A candidate will get a maximum of two opportunities to appear in the CAET 2027 examination. If a candidate appears in two sessions, the better normalized score out of the two will be considered for the final selection process to IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi.

Note: Any change in Test Centers will be communicated prior to the sessions.

CAET is a written pen-and-paper based examination, and the candidate is required to visit the designated centres to write the exam on the chosen date. The centre will be allocated to candidates based on their preference and availability of seats at the centre.
