During his visit, he engaged with institutional leadership, interacted with students, and toured campus facilities. The visit coincided with the second anniversary of the launch of academic programs, underscoring the institution’s growing role as a bridge for India – UAE collaboration in education, research, and knowledge exchange.

Featuring plenary and invited talks by eminent international scientists, the sessions focused on AI-driven discovery of quantum materials and multiscale modelling for quantum sensing. The workshop fostered new avenues for international collaboration and high-impact research in next-generation quantum technologies.

The Bootcamp Reunion, held on January 31, 2026, at the IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi campus, brought together participants from previous summer and winter Energy & AI Bootcamps. The event welcomed 23 students (Grade 11 & 12) and 10 family members, for a total of 33 attendees, celebrating the bonds formed during the bootcamps while creating meaningful opportunities to reconnect, network with faculty, and engage with fellow alumni across the UAE. More than a reunion, the event served as a platform to add value not only to the Institute but also to ambitious STEM-oriented students across the UAE, reinforcing its growing role within the nation’s innovation ecosystem.
The Harvest Festival Celebration 2026 brought together students and faculty for a vibrant showcase of cultural traditions, campus life, and community spirit. The event featured a traditional festive lunch, interactive activities, and high-energy performances, reflecting IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi’s commitment to an inclusive and engaging student experience. Celebrating festivals together allows the campus community to share our diverse cultural traditions, fostering mutual understanding, respect, and a sense of belonging.
IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi hosted an engaging seminar on January 22, 2026, by Prof. Atul K. Jain, a globally recognized climate scientist from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Reuters-listed World’s Top Climate Scientist. Prof. Jain shared pioneering insights into how large-scale bioethanol crop expansion intersects with climate change, water and energy systems, and greenhouse gas emissions within the Food–Energy–Water (FEWS) nexus. Drawing on detailed analysis of corn, Miscanthus, and switchgrass across the US, the talk highlighted how intensifying droughts and heat waves are reshaping future energy pathways, providing a valuable perspective on how scientific research can inform climate adaptation and mitigation strategies.
Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Abu Dhabi advanced its Employer Connect initiative with industry interactions for its inaugural M. Tech. cohort. Representatives from Oasis Enterprises (Al Shirawi Group) and Al Shirawi Solar shared insights on renewable energy careers, project delivery, and emerging technology trends across the UAE and the region.
