Dr. Anandarup Das is currently a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi. His research interest lies in power electronics for Electric vehicles and renewable energy integration. He has developed several newer generation power electronic converters which are highly efficient and fault tolerant, enhancing the reliability of operation of these converters in the field.

Additionally, a close industry-academia partnership is ongoing where several industry-sponsored real-life problems (e.g. development of traction converters and systems, EV power train converters, etc., 48V telecom power supply) are being solved.

Dr. Das has been leading a team of researchers which includes Ph.D., post-doc, master’s, and bachelor’s students for the last 10 years. He has already completed the guidance of 6 Ph.D. research scholars, along with an additional team of 8. The research scholars have proposed innovative and practical solutions to different research problems, which have resulted in more than 50 journal papers and patents.

Dr. Das’s strong international exposure during his post-Ph.D. tenure in Norway and other countries has resulted in long and fruitful international collaboration. He has delivered several invited talks in conferences, workshops in India and abroad and continues to build international cooperation, e.g. Sophia lecturing research grant in Japan. He is a senior member of IEEE and a recipient of several awards, like the 2025 Sophia lecturing research grant, 2025 FITT award for best industry-relevant MTech project, 2024 IETE Bimal K Bose award, and best Paper awards in 2025 IEEE-SEFET.
