JEE (Advanced) 2025
Indian nationals interested in applying to undergraduate programs at IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi should appear in JEE (Advanced) 2025, and apply through the portal of Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

Indian nationals who have qualified JEE Advanced can apply for the three B.Tech. programs offered by IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi through the JoSAA portal. Interested candidates can include these programs in their choices filled under JoSAA. These programs are listed as 4-year B.Tech. programs at IIT Delhi in the JoSAA portal, along with a category-wise seat matrix, with reservations for various categories as per Government of India regulations. Female candidates of Indian nationality or OCI/PIO (I) candidates are entitled to avail of the female supernumerary seats. Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO(F) candidates who qualified JEE Advanced 2025 within the opening/closing rank bracket for Open seats of the programs would be eligible for supernumerary seats in the respective program, subject to the 10% limit.


Important Notes:

  1. A seat allocated in IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi is ONLY for the Abu Dhabi campus and does not imply an allocation of seat in the New Delhi campus of IIT Delhi.
  2. Any change of discipline (branch change) option for students of IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi will only be between branches that are offered within the Abu Dhabi campus.
  3. There will be no option for change of discipline (branch) between the Abu Dhabi campus and New Delhi campus.
  4. It is not mandatory to have a valid Indian passport at the time of choice filling, but candidates are recommended to apply for passport immediately in order to avoid delays in the future.
  5. Please note that all candidates who seek admission in IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi must have a valid Indian passport with at least 6 months validity
  6. Obtaining passport from relevant authorities is a responsibility of the candidate. IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi will facilitate study visa for the student.

  1. Is admission to the B.Tech programs at IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi based on the JEE Advanced rank (including category-wise ranks)?
  2. Yes. 10 seats of each B.Tech program are earmarked for Indian Nationals who qualified JEE Advanced 2025, and can find these programs listed under IIT Delhi on the JoSAA portal. A category-wise seat matrix can also be seen for each program on the JoSAA portal.

  3. ?What is the complete admission timeline for the 2025 intake, including registration, counselling, and any additional steps?
  4. For candidates admitted through JEE Advanced 2025, the JoSAA calendar is applicable for counselling, document verification and seat allotment fee payment. Reporting to the campus and in-person registration at IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi campus would be done in the second week of August, and candidates admitted to B.Tech. programs of IIT Delhi - Abu Dhabi would be notified through email about these details at the end of JoSAA round 6 in July.

  5. Are there any specific eligibility criteria or documents required for international or category-based applicants?

  6.  A. International students:
      A1. OCI/PIO card holders:
       A11. OCI/PIO (I) candidates: these are JEE Advanced 2025 qualified candidates whose OCI/PIO card has been issued before March 4, 2021, and who have opted to be treated as at par with Indian nationals during JEE Advanced 2025 registration. These candidates would be eligible for Open and Open PwD seats as per JoSAA business rules. Female candidates of this category would be eligible to avail of female supernumerary seats, as per JoSAA business rules.
       A12. OCI/PIO (F) candidates: these are JEE Advanced 2025 qualified candidates whose OCI/PIO card has been issued subsequent to March 4, 2021, or those who have opted to be treated as foreign nationals during JEE Advanced 2025 registration. These candidates would only be eligible for supernumerary seats for foreign nationals provided their rank falls within the opening / closing rank bracket for Open candidates for the respective discipline. Refer to JoSAA business rules for OCI/PIO (F) candidates.

     A2. Other non-Indian passport holders: These candidates who qualified JEE Advanced 2025 would only be eligible for supernumerary seats for foreign nationals provided their rank falls within the opening / closing rank bracket for Open candidates for the respective discipline. Refer to JoSAA business rules for Foreign candidates.

    B. Category-based applicants:

    Indian nationals who have qualified JEE Advanced 2025 with valid certificates for Gen-EWS / OBC-NCL / SC / ST without or with PwD certificate / UDID card will be eligible as per JoSAA business rules for the seats under the respective category subject to their ranks and choices of branch in JoSAA.

  10. There is no separate application portal for admission of JEE Advanced 2025 qualified candidates for admission to B.Tech. programs at IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi. They should go through the JoSAA portal.
